Castles in Jersey

Mont Orgueil Castle

Towering above the port of Gorey on the east coast, Mont Orgueil Castle is over 800 years old. One of the finest examples of a medieval castle. You will find out about the castles gruesome history as you explore the towers, network of staircases and secret rooms. It is definitely worth a visit!

Elizabeth Castle

This castle, dating from the 16th century is an iconic part of Jersey seen as you arrive into Jersey Harbour. Built on a rocky islet in St. Aubins Bay. Explore the castle by yourself of take part and enjoy the many living history demonstrations including cannon firing. Cut off twice during the day, access to the castle is still available when the tides in via 2 large blue amphibious vehicles opposite The Grand Hotel.

The Amaizin' Maze

Jersey's largest farm park is a great day out for families with all activities included in one price. Indoor and outdoor fun including animals, tractor rides, go-karts etc. Open year round with the maze open July till September.

Tamba Park

One of Jersey's newest attractions, Tamba park has made a big impression within the Island. With activities for babies and older. Activities include: The Zap Zone, Drive-able boats, Crazy Golf etc.

Jersey Zoo - Durrel Wildlife Conservation

The world famous Durrel Wildlife Conservation based at Jersey Zoo, founded in 1959 is a fantastic day out, whilst supporting a very worthwhile conservation effort based around the world. Enclosures are designed to give large amounts of area for the animals. Animals at the zoo include: Gorillas, Bears, Orangutans, meerkats, Bats etc.

This interactive museum allows visitors to see, touch, hear and even smell exhibits whilst discovering Jersey's maritime past.

Visitors can experience a unique insight into Jersey's rural life throughout the centuries. With a children's adventure playground and resident animals there was fun for the whole family!

La Hougue Bie Museum

This amazing museum, situated in and around one of the ten oldest buildings in the world. Visitors get the chance to enter into one of Europes finest passage graves, discovering Jersey;s neolithic history at this spiritual heritage site.

Le Braye, situated in the west of the island along St.Ouens Bay is often very busy due to the location and quality of food. After large upgrades over the last couple of years the café is modern with indoor and outdoor seating options.

El Tico, another situated along St. Ouen's Bay is another that's often busy with booking needed. Cantina style long tables overlooking the surf and St.Ouen's Bay provide a fantastic location to grab a bite to eat

This family run beach café right on the beachfront of Portelet beach, The café specialises in authentic wood fired pizza's. Their policy is to provide the best quality and freshest food possible.

Feast, a family owned restaurant found in the quiet, picturesque fishing village of Gorey to the east of Jersey is a favourite of locals specialising in simple, delicious, modern food.

Bohemia

Based at 'The Club Hotel and Spa' is a highly awarded restaurant, including 4AA Rosettes, a Michelin Star and rated 21st Best restaurant in the UK 2016. Open throughout the day to serve lunch, afternoon tea and dinner it is definitely worth visiting.

The Salty Dog Bar and Bistro

The Salty dog, based in the picturesque St. Aubin is highly rated and sought after. A reputation built on friendly staff and great food. Providing local produce in a mix of dishes it's worth checking out the menu.

Mimosa Jersey

Mimosa, found next to the Liberty Bus station is a trendy bar that often turns over 21's only at the weekends due to popularity. It has a extensive cocktail, wine and champagne list. Mimosa is spread over an indoors, terrace and outdoor alfresco area.

Open Wednesday - Saturday till 2am, Sunday 10-2pm.

 

The Drift Nightclub at The Royal Yatch

The Drift Nightclub is a good bet for a busy night at the weekend. With popular restaurants the cater for all tasts including Zephyr, Sirocco and The Grill, it has everything for a good night in one place. With all closing times in Jersey limited to 2am get in early!

Tanguys

Tanguys found on Mulcaster street opposite the Lamplighter pub, different to nearly all other clubs/nightclubs in Jersey has a fresh feel. This much smaller club and cocktail bar has an over 21's policy at the weekends and a small dance floor at the back. It's worth checking out to get away from some of the younger crowds!
