Adult Foraging
Bush craft is the popular term for a wide range of wilderness and outdoor living skills. In today's busy world the skills that were essential for hundreds of years have disappeared. Bush Craft gives participants the chance to get back in tune with nature and it's heritage.
Our Bush craft sessions are run from the Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre in the beautiful setting of St Martin. Some of the skills we focus on include:
Typical sessions last approximately 2 hours, where you will take in some of Jersey's common and less common plants during the wild foraging walk, before heading back to JAAC for wild crafts, foraged soup and Fire Making.
Advanced sessions available with Harry & Simon, (both trained personally with Ray Mears).

Minimum Age:
We advise that the youngest age suitable for bush craft is 8 years old and accompanied by an adult.
When can we go for a Bush walk?
Bush Craft can be organized throughout the year, but more frequently throughout the summer months. 2023 dates are Saturday mornings 10.00-12.30 by arrangement only. Contact John for themes of sessions 0779772503.
What to Wear:
No specialist footwear is needed for Bushcraft. We do ask that suitable clothing for the days weather, sun screen and water.
How to find Bushcraft Jersey
To get to the Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre driving from St.Martins Parish hall, pass Ransoms on your right, take the next left, about 0.5km down the road you'll find us on the right.
Driving from Gorey village, at the top of the hill as you come to the crossroad, turn right.
